The Huron Beacon Podcast

In 2021, Huron Public Library, its Board of Directors, and key community partners developed a 2023-2027 Strategic Plan. One of the key points in this plan was “Know your Community Resources & Services” and talked about Library users having a central source for information about the wide variety of programs and activities provided by community organizations. Thus, the idea of the Huron Beacon podcast was born. Each month, this podcast will feature different local organizations and groups to talk about who they are, what they’ve got going on, and why you should know about them.
In 2025, The Huron Beacon Podcast was selected as the winner of the Ohio Library Council’s Library Innovation Award.
