Volunteer Opportunities

Due to safety restrictions put in place in order to slow the spread of COVID-19, the Library is not able to have volunteers in the building.

Volunteer Jobs

Volunteer work at the Library includes:

  • shelving books
  • organizing book shelves
  • cleaning and dusting

We are currently accepting applications for volunteers at the Library. Volunteers must be currently of high school age or older and must be able to provide an emergency contact name and telephone number prior to beginning volunteer service.

If you'd like to volunteer, please fill out a volunteer application and turn it in at the main Circulation Desk. If you would like more information about volunteering at the Huron Public Library, please contact Shelby, the Customer & Technical Services Manager, at shelby.tillinghast@huronlibrary.org.

You will be required to complete a Volunteer Application (above) and submit a background check prior to beginning volunteer service.

Those working towards community service credits at the Library will also be required to submit their cell phone, mobile computing device, or any other electronic equipment that would distract from their community service duties.
