Have a technology question? Need help with a device or an app? Submit your question and your email and a librarian will get back to you as soon as possible with answers or tips, step-by-step directions, or personalized videos to help solve your technology dilemma.

Ask us about: Library apps like Libby or Hoopla, smartphone or tablet use, the online CLEVNET catalog, navigating a specific website, eReader use, or anything else you are having trouble with!

Tech Video Series

Check out these videos with tips to answer your technology-related questions. Videos will be released monthly from the Library’s social media pages and will be available to view on the Library’s YouTube channel. Videos are released on select Tuesdays at 10 am.

How to Use Libby

Learn how to use the Library’s free Libby app for eBooks, audiobooks, and digital magazines. If you use the app already, learn some tips to help your search, or learn how to find digital magazines.

Technology Special Collection Materials 

The Library maintains a small collection of special technology materials that are available for loan. Each item has a different loan policy. Please call the Library at (419) 433-5009 with any questions about these materials.

Wi-Fi Hotspots 

The Library is now loaning Wi-Fi Hotspots that can connect multiple devices to the Internet anywhere cell phone service is available. These devices are perfect for the beach, the park, travel, or any location without access to Wi-Fi. Hotspots are available on a first come, first serve basis.

  • Loan period is 7 days
  • Non-renewable
  • No holds
  • Late fee is $5 per day
  • Replacement/Lost fee is $80
  • must be 18+ to check out
  • Must be checked out and returned to main Circulation Desk

To check out a Wi-Fi Hotspot, patrons must have a valid ID and their library card at the time of check out. A User Agreement Form must also be read and signed by patrons checking out a Hotspot for the first time.

Playaway Launchpads 

Playaway Launchpads are portable devices pre-loaded with educational games and videos created just for children. Each Launchpad is labeled with recommended ages and various subjects and can be found in the Youth Services Department next to the Circulation Desk.

  • Loan period is 7 days
  • Late fee is $1 per day
  • Replacement/Lost fee is $139.99
  • Must be checked out and returned to main Circulation Desk

Nebula Projectors 

The Library also circulates a few portable projectors. These Nebula Projectors can be used to project streaming services like Netflix and YouTube videos or for PowerPoint presentations. Patrons are responsible for logging out of accounts upon return of devices. The Library does not provide free access to used streaming services.

  • Loan period is 3 days
  • Non-renewable
  • No holds
  • Late fee is $5 per day
  • Replacement/Lost fee is $300
  • must be 18+ to check out
  • Must be checked out and returned to main Circulation Desk

To check out a Nebula Projector, patrons must have a valid ID and their library card at the time of check out. A User Agreement Form must also be read and signed by patrons checking out a projector for the first time.

Charging Cords and Headphones 

Forget your charging cord or headphones for a device? We can help! The Library is now loaning multi-device charging cords for items like phones or tablets. Headphones can also be checked out for in-house use on computers or other devices.

  • In-house use only
  • Late fee is $5 per day
  • Replacement/Lost fee is $25
  • Must be checked out and returned to main Circulation Desk
